The mother of a missing Oklahoma toddler has been arrested — an update which does not bode well for the poor girl’s safety.
Oaklee Snow has been missing over two months. Initially it was reported that the last time the 2-year-old had been seen was January 19 with her mother in Cromwell, Oklahoma. 22-year-old Madison Marshall took her daughter and 7-month-old son Coleton with her as she left her home. Oaklee was not seen after. At least, that’s what was thought for weeks.

This week Madison was arrested on charges of neglect. J.T. Palmer of the Seminole County Sheriff’s Office explained on Tuesday that Oaklee was seen once more, on February 9. Eyewitnesses told authorities the young mother had her little girl with her as she exited what was dubbed a “crack house.” But something had happened. The toddler wasn’t moving as she was carried out by a desperate Madison. Palmer told reporters:
“They described that she was either asleep or unconscious. She wasn’t moving. She was wrapped in a blanket and the mother made the comment, ‘I got to get her to the hospital. She’s been hurt.’”
Palmer says family members have already contacted every hospital in the state. He added:
“We have no knowledge of where she’s at. We just know that she did not make it to the hospital that night.”
As for the 7-month-old, police say Coleton was left in another residence on a couch, abandoned when his mother ran out with Oaklee. It was then that someone in the house contacted the authorities, and the baby was reunited with his father.
Speaking of men in Madison’s life, Palmer says her boyfriend Roan Waters, 25, was with her when she left home. According to The Oklahoman, he was arrested on March 3 way over in Colorado, on charges of child abuse and domestic assault and battery in the presence of a minor. Those charges, says Palmer, are unrelated to Oaklee’s disappearance. He told detectives he and Madison had traveled from Oklahoma to Indianapolis, where they stayed in a “trap house” to sell drugs. He admitted they had decided to purposely abandon the infant and take Oaklee with them. But then… where is she??
Madison was arrested in North Carolina, with the help of the FBI and the Harnett County Sheriff’s Department, where she was charged with neglect of a dependent. Unfortunately, if she knows what became of Oaklee, she isn’t sharing that information.
The 2-year-old is still considered missing. She is about 2 feet tall, 35 lbs, with blonde hair and blue eyes.
