“I will become a terror killing that courage.” Prathyangira Cinemas has unveiled an official trailer for a movie called Devara Part 1, the next big Indian epic action movie hitting theater this year. It’s already set for a global release (including in many US theaters) starting on September 27th later this month. The Telugu-language action movie stars N.T. Rama Rao Jr. (aka NTR Jr) who also played Bheem in the global hit RRR a few years ago. Devara is an intensive tale about a man who struck fear in the minds of those who were naive to it. An epic action saga set against coastal lands (e.g. at the water), which is about rip-roaring, emotionally charged incidents in the periodic timeline, and features the titular protagonist being the rescuer to deprived and fear to evildoers. Starring N.T. Rama Rao Jr. as both Devara (the “protector of the seas”) and his own son Vara, with Saif Ali Khan, Janhvi Kapoor, and Prakash Raj, Meka Srikanth, Shine Tom Chacko, and Chaitra Roy. It’s another 3-hour-long epic movie from India that looks totally bonkers amazing, like an Indian take on Poseidon and/or Aquaman. It all comes together with the glorious final shot of Devara riding the shark with a whip. Why? Who cares! He’s a badass warrior on a shark – let him ride. 🦈
