Jana Kramer Addresses Video Of Her Daughter
Jolie, 8, is often featured on Jana Kramer‘s social media. A recent video showed Jolie dancing around at home. What the country music singer saw as innocent fun got torn apart online.
She decided to re-do the video with her daughter but took to her Instagram Story to talk about why she decided to remove the post.
“Jolie asked to see [the] original this morning and I told her I took it down after some convos,” she shared. “She was sad, I explained why, and I said we can redo…and she said yay!”
“I’m being honest, I didn’t even see the issue at first with the original…I forget how sick this world is and how sexualized kids are,” Jana Kramer continued in the next slide. “Jolie came down the stairs that morning in her sports bra and said, ‘Alright momma I’m ready to work out.’”
Jana admitted that she would not let her daughter be out in public in a sports bra, but the clip was filmed at home. She didn’t consider that the video would later be shared on her public social media profile.
At first, Jana Kramer said that the comments from people sexualizing her daughter made her angry. She wanted to point out that she was wearing more than a bathing suit. However, she had a few conversations with people through direct messages and ultimately chose to take the video down.
Jana Explains Her Decision To Take The Post Down
The 40-year-old country singer said that she enjoys sharing photos and clips of her family online. She acknowledged that she could “do better at times to protect” her kids from predators online.
“Again I had no clue just how far these sickos go. Sad honestly that’s where the world is at,” she said in her Instagram Story.
She also frequently discusses her children on her podcast Whine Down With Jana Kramer. In an episode in April, she shared that her daughter expressed that she didn’t like Taylor Swift and asked if that was okay. Of course, Jana told her that was fine and that she could like whoever she wanted to like.
“Just [like] the Beatles. It’s like, you don’t have to like that,” Jana recalled her daughter saying. “And sometimes, I didn’t like the Beatles because everyone loved the Beatles. So I’ve always kinda go opposite.”
Jana Kramer has three children. She shares Jolie, 8, and son Jace, 5, with her ex Mike Caussin. Jana also has a 10-month-old son Roman, who she shares with her husband Alan Russell.
