The official Queen of the Ring trailer for the upcoming sports biographical drama has been released, starring Arrowverse vet Emily Bett Rickards as pro-wrestling champion Mildred Burke. Based on a true story, the film is scheduled to make its debut in theaters on March 7, 2025.
“In a time when pro wrestling for women was illegal all over the country, a small town single mother embraces the danger to change culture as she dominates America’s most masculine sport to become the first million dollar female athlete in history,” reads the movie’s official synopsis.

What happens in the Queen of the Ring trailer?
The video highlights the rise of Mildred Burke, who became the first highest-paid female athlete in history despite the odds. It teases how she dominated the world of women’s wrestling by showing that women can also excel in the said sport. The ensemble cast also includes Josh Lucas, Tyler Posey, Francesca Eastwood, Walton Goggins, Gavin Casalegno, Cara Buono, Deborah Ann Woll, Marie Avgeropoulos, Martin Kove, Kelli Berglund, Damaris Lewis, Kailey Latimer, Toni Rossall, Adam Demos, and WWE Superstar Trinity Fatu.
Queen of the Ring is written and directed by Ash Avildsen (American Satan, Paradise City), based on the book by author Jeff Leen. The sports biopic movie is produced by Avildsen, Aimee Schoof, and Isen Robbins, with Baron Bodnar, Anthony Mastomauro, and Jim Ross serving as executive producers. It is a production by Summerian Films.
