Pleasing by Harry Styles launches its first fragrances
Just when you thought there couldn’t possibly be bigger news in Harry Styles-land than the singer shaving his head, Styles’ beauty and lifestyle brand, Pleasing, has entered the world of fragrance. Pleasing by Harry Styles launched two years ago with six unisex nail polishes before adding skincare products, colour pigments, accessories and more.
As of today, you can explore the brand’s first foray into fragrances with the launch of three scents: Closeness (a warm, woody musk with notes of cardamom, cashmere woods and bamboo), Bright Hot (a potent amber scent with notes of vanilla, tobacco, plum and cedarwood), and Rivulets (a fresh second-skin-like blend of white linen, lemon and black pepper).
The trio of scents were produced in collaboration with perfumer Jerôme Épinette (the nose behind the iconic line of Byredo scents) and fragrance house Robertet.

Sustainable shopping pop-up The Laneway has opened in Toronto
A group of five Canadian, women-founded brands have come together to launch a sustainable shopping pop-up called The Laneway, running from now until December 17th. Located at 198 Walnut Avenue in Toronto, shoppers can browse offerings from makeup brand 19/99 Beauty, skincare brand Ember Wellness, waterless hair and body care brand Everist, refillable candle brand Everly, and refillable home care brand Guests on Earth.
The brands have teamed up with recycling initiative TerraCycle to encourage visitors to bring personal care and beauty empties to be properly recycled through the TerraCycle program. A bag of recyclable empties will entitle shoppers to $10 off a purchase of $50 or more, from November 17 to 19. This weekend, The Laneway will also be offering workshops and experiences such as candle-making, aromatherapy, facials and hair treatments.
The newest addition to the Nina Ricci fragrance family has landed
Meet Nina Le Parfum, the newest member of the Nina Ricca fragrance family, a bold fragrance that opens with a trio of apple notes mixed with zesty lemon, before moving into floral middle notes and finally amber wood and vanilla base notes.
Nina Le Parfum is made with at least 90 per cent natural origins, and uses upcycled lemon (citrus fruits that have been rejected from the food industry due to their size or appearance and have been repurposed and used in their entirety — zero waste! — for perfumery).
