Tubi is here to ruin your weekend.
From the wide selection of true blue horror classics, to their line of original programming, Tubi is quickly becoming the place to go for horror fans on a budget. That said, it can be close to impossible to make a choice when perusing the endless horror titles available on the streaming giant. This is where we come in. We’ve gone ahead and highlighted the ten most messed up, upsetting and all together disruptive horror films available to watch on Tubi right now. That said, we’ll be keeping these selections to the generally mainstream nasties.
One of the nastiest and absolutely must-watch selections available to view is Tobe Hooper’s undisputed classic The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Part 2. There’s something undeniably charming and grotesque about this second chapter that deserves constant revisitation. Horror icon Bill Moseley makes his breakout performance as Chop Top in this one, and the world has never fully recovered. The way he scratches his metal scalp with a wire hanger is vibes-forward horror camp at its finest. Ruin a normie’s day with this entry this weekend; it’s your duty!
Here are the 10 nastiest horror movies streaming on Tubi right now:
- Martyrs
- Wolf Creek
- The Burning
- American Mary
- I Saw the Devil
- House of 1000 Corpses
- The Devil’s Rejects
- The Collector
- The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Part 2
- Maniac
Another horror selection from the above list we can’t help but revisit at least once a year is The Collector from horror heroes Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan. This indie Saw-era slasher is gritty and full of mean surprises. The sequel The Collection is arguably even nastier, but you should start with the original if you have yet to dip your toe into the franchise. Dread’s very own podcast Development Hell recently unpacked what’s going on with the hotly anticipated third film, The Collected. Take a listen if you’re curious. Just don’t get your hopes up (yet).
Lastly, which of the above gory horror films are you planning on getting wrecked with this weekend? Make sure to let me know over on Twitter via @joshkorngut. I’m always around o chat all things gross-out horror!
