Barbara Campton and writer Dennis Paoli are no strangers to H.P. Lovecraft. They are about to combine their powers to make another H.P. Lovecraft film. Dennis Paolli has worked with the late and great Stuart Gordon on a ton of great Lovecraft works that include Re-Animator, From Beyond, Castle Freak and more. It just so happens that Crampton has starred in a lot Paoli and Gordon’s works.
The upcoming unnamed film is based on The Thing on the Doorstep and is said to be an “erotic body-swapping horror” film.

Crampton said. “At Amp it’s about developing not only memorable, thought-provoking material for an audience, but also fresh and unusual enough to attract the very best creative collaborators. I was ecstatic when first the formidable Joe Lynch, then Heather Graham signed on – her natural charm is always in evidence, but we get to see a different untapped side of her abilities here. I’ve been thrilled to be invited to join seasoned pros at Amp, and we are only getting started.”
The upcoming project stars Heather Graham, Bruce Davison, Johnathon Schaech and Judah Lewis. In the Lovecraft adaptation, a psychiatrist who becomes obsessed with a young client with multiple personalities. Graham is set to play the lead.
The synopsis for Castle Freak went like this:
An American family (Jeffrey Combs, Barbara Crampton, Jessica Dollarhide) that has suffered tragedy inherits an Italian castle complete with bloodthirsty monster.
