The nights are growing colder, and the people are looking to Denzel Washington thrillers to keep them warm. Luckily, he has plenty of hits to get us through the cruelest season. We recently clocked that the underrated 2003 sleeper hit Out of Time is now streaming on Max (formerly HBOMax). Like most of the internet, we love to see Denzel do what he does best: deliver an acting masterclass and inspire a wave of thirst tweets. Allow me to explain the movie to the uninitiated.
In the film, Matt Lee Whitlock (Denzel Washington) is the police chief of a small Florida town, going through a divorce with his detective wife, Alex (Eva Mendes). He begins a passionate affair with Ann (Sanaa Lathan), only to find out that she’s stricken with terminal cancer. Matt steals a large sum of money confiscated from a drug bust in order to pay for Ann’s treatment — but when she apparently dies in a suspicious fire, the money disappears, and all the clues point to Matt as the culprit.

Out Of Time was directed by Carl Franklin and was written by David Collard. It stars Denzel Washington, Eva Mendes, Sanaa Lathan, John Billingsley, and Nora Dunn. Washington and Carl Franklin had previously worked together on the 1995 neo-noir mystery Devil In A Blue Dress.
Twitter seriously loves this lost movie and thinks Denzel Thee Washington has never been hotter. And the thirst tweets do not stop there because he shares screentime with Eva Mendes, who the app also has a crush on.

I am making plans to watch Out Of Time as you read this. I cannot wait to see what has Twitter so spicy. If you are not feeling the heat yet, you should watch this trailer. Then watch the movie on Max before it disappears.
