Read the full synopsis below:
Forced to flee their dying planet, two body-snatching alien lovers arrive separately on Earth. Determined to find each other, the aliens jump from body to body, but they quickly learn that it’s not easy to inhabit their new, fleshy hosts, and that life in modern-day America is more complicated than they could have ever imagined.

In her review of the film out of the 2023 Fantasia Film Festival, Dread Central’s Emily Gagne wrote:
The Becomers embraces the warm and fuzzy idea that true love exists in every universe. There’s never a doubt our heroes will reunite each time they are forced to separate and take on new hosts. The film is more interested in how and when they will find each other again, their united will to stay together superseding everything, and anyone, that gets in their way.
Molly Plunk (Little Sister), Mike Lopez (May December), Keith Kelly, Isabel Alamin, and Frank V. Ross (Drinking Buddies) star in the film, with narration by Russell Mael, lead singer of the renowned musical duo Sparks.
The Becomers was shot in Chicago and is produced by Joe Swanber and Eric Ashworth. Eddie Linker produced for Slasher Film Company. Daryl Pittman lensed, Fritz Myers composed the film’s original score, and Glamhag production designed.
The film will open in New York on August 23 at Cinema Village, in Los Angeles on August 30 at Lumiere Music Hall, and in Chicago on September 13 at Music Box Theatre. Further cities and dates are to be announced.
The Becomers comes to VOD on September 24, 2024.
