And In Search of Darkness: 1990-1994 aims to celebrate that with a five-plus-hour documentary featuring brand-new interviews with horror icons and experts. We’re excited to have an exclusive clip from the documentary about the legendary Tony Todd and his performance in Candyman, especially involving some very live bees.

In Search of Darkness: 1990-1994 comes from CREATORVC, the creative minds behind the In Search of Darkness 80s horror trilogy and Aliens Expanded documentary. Directed by David Weiner, In Search of Darkness: 1990-1994 delves into an era of horror evolution marked by grittier, meta filmmaking, straight-to-video ingenuity, darker villains alongside franchise icons, and the birth of seismic digital effects.

Candyman is only one of dozens of films featured in the documentary. Other titles featured include The Silence of the Lambs, Tremors, Bram Stoker’s Dracula, Wes Craven’s New Nightmare, Stephen King’s IT miniseries, Frankenhooker and Peter Jackson’s Dead Alive.
