My Chemical Romance singer, Gerard way’s comic creation The Umbrella Academy was a heck of a comic book that had given us a totally new perspective and story for superheroes at the time. The Netflix live-action adaptation has been an interesting one. Although it has sort of found its own path along the way. The source material feels very different than the actual series. However, folks have really loved it. Good news for all super fans, it appears that the series has been given the green light for a fourth and final season.
“I’m so excited that the incredibly loyal fans of The Umbrella Academy will be able to experience the fitting end to the Hargreeves siblings’ journey we began five years ago.” Showrunner, Steve Blackman said. “But before we get to that conclusion, we’ve got an amazing story ahead for season four, one that will have fans on the edge of their seats until the final minutes.”
The Umbrella Academy synopsis went like this:
On the same day in October 1989, forty-three infants are inexplicably born to random, unconnected women who showed no signs of pregnancy the day before. Seven are adopted by Sir Reginald Hargreeves, a billionaire industrialist, who creates The Umbrella Academy and prepares his “children” to save the world.
The Umbrella Academy cast includes Elliot Page, Tom Hopper, David Castañeda, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Robert Sheehan, Aidan Gallagher, Justin H. Min, Ritu Arya, and Colm Feore.
