Tamil star Dhanush’s fans are all excited about the actor’s upcoming film Captain Miller. The makers have fueled fans’ excitement with its intriguing trailer. As the movie is releasing around Pongal or Sankranti, it is set to face competition from other much-awaited flicks, including Ayalaan. However, as per the latest reports, the two movies will not compete in the Telugu market because their dubbed version releases have been postponed.
Pongal and Sankranti are similar festivals celebrated by Tamil and Telugu-speaking people. It is the busiest time of the year when filmmakers try to release their movies. While Captain Miller stars Dhanush, Sivakarthikeyan is headlining the sci-fi thriller Ayalaan. Both the movies are distinct from one another. Not only do they have different genres, they are even based on different time periods. Captain Miller is a period drama about a former British soldier determined to protect his villagers and their hidden treasure. On the other hand, Ayalaan is based on the story of a group of friends who try to send a lost alien to his planet.
Captain Miller & Ayalaan Telugu release date
The Telugu cinema is witnessing not one or two but four movies colliding during the festive season. Guntur Kaaram, Hanu Man, Saindhav, and Naa Saami Ranga are all being released around Sankranti. Amid this box office battle, two Tamil movies have allegedly backed out from releasing their Telugu-dubbed versions. According to 123telugu.com, Captain Miller and Ayalaan are out of the race.
Producer Dil Raju had confirmed that the Telugu version of Ayalaan has been postponed. The film was earlier set to simultaneously release in Tamil and Telugu on January 12, 2024. On the other hand, Captain Miller’s trailer has been released only in Tamil. The absence of a Telugu trailer reportedly suggests that the film’s Telugu dubbed version will be released later. Captain Miller will hit the theaters on January 12.
