Marvel fans became confused by a fake D23 Avengers: Doomsday poster. The poster seems to show Doctor Doom on the right being confronted by the Fantastic Four, X-Men, and the Avengers.
Although the image is not real, some fans seem to think it is. One fan wrote in the comment section of the above post, “Omg can’t wait anything with scarlet witch pls.” Another individual posted, “Woah!!! Is this our first official teaser poster for Doomsday??”
Due to the widespread interest in Avengers: Doomsday, fake materials like this are expected to circulate online, leaving fans baffled. Marvel Studios has been relatively economical with what they officially put out about the feature. At D23, the company released a hype teaser featuring a montage of footage and dialogue showcasing Avengers: Doomsday’s confirmed cast members and characters from the previous entries in the franchise. Among the characters featured in the teaser are Chris Hemsworth’s Thor, Anthony Mackie’s Sam Wilson / Captain America, Letitia Wright’s Shuri / Black Panther, Florence Pugh’s Yelena Belova, and Patrick Stewart’s Charles Xavier / Professor X.
Anthony and Joe Russo, the directors of the movie, reportedly made an appearance via a video message at the event. Paul Rudd, who returns as Scott Lang / Ant-Man in Doomsday, also added to the message.
Doomsday’s cast includes Robert Downey Jr. as Victor von Doom / Doctor Doom, Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards / Mister Fantastic, and Tom Hiddleston as Loki.
Avengers: Doomsday debuts in U.S. theaters on December 18, 2026.
