In a significant move for the wrestling world, AEW has unveiled the signing of a notable former WWE figure to their backstage team. Reports from PWInsider indicated that Pepperman decided to part ways with WWE last week, where she served as a senior writer and producer since 2017.
Now, Soap Opera Network has revealed that Tony Khan has secured her services with a new deal at AEW. Pepperman held a prominent position as the longest-tenured female member of WWE’s creative team. However, her departure from WWE was voluntary rather than a result of internal decisions.
According to Sports Illustrated, she is now a significant addition to an AEW “writer’s room.” She will collaborate closely with Khan, who also serves as the Head of Creative. Furthermore, her main responsibility will involve developing content for live programming. Additionally, through an official announcement on Wednesday, AEW disclosed that Pepperman will assume the role of their new VP of Content Development.
