Fans are wondering if Scarlett Johansson will be the lead actress in the new Jurassic World 2025 movie being helmed by Gareth Edwards. Here is everything you need to know.
Will Scarlett Johansson be the lead in Jurassic World 2025?
Scarlett Johansson has reportedly been offered the lead role in Jurassic World 2025.
According to a new report from industry insider Jeff Sneider via TheInsneider, Scarlett Johansson has been offered the lead role in Jurassic World 2025.
The report suggests that the Black Widow actress has met with both director Gareth Edwards and producer Frank Marshall at least once. However, there is currently no word on if she has accepted the offer to star in Jurassic World 2025. Reportedly, her schedule seems to be in the clear for the film’s summer shoot.
Currently, plot details of Jurassic World 2025 are kept under wraps. However, what is known is that Gareth Edwards will direct the film, and David Koepp, who previously wrote Jurassic Park and The Lost World: Jurassic Park, has been roped in to write the movie’s script.
Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley will reprise their roles from previous Jurassic World installments as producers of the film, while Steven Spielberg will also be part of the crew as an executive producer.
As per a February 2024 Collider interview, Gareth Edwards was so excited about getting a directing gig for Jurassic World 2025 that he immediately jumped on to direct despite being ready to step away from filmmaking for a while after helming John David Washington’s The Creator. Expressing his joy, he stated:
“I love Jurassic Park…so this opportunity is like a dream to me. And to work with Frank Marshall and Universal and David Koepp…I think they’re all legends. So I’m just very excited.”
