In a recent episode of Shark Tank India Season 3, the unique social media monetization platform WYLD Card made its entry, striving for an investment of $60 thousand for 0.5% Equity.
WYLD is a social media platform that allows social media influencers to monetize their followers. It targets young social media users aged between 18 and 30.
Dishant Sanghvi, Rij Eappen, and Yash Sakhlecha have come to pitch their brand, WYLD, to the sharks. Meanwhile, this platform enables Instagram users, who have more than 1000 followers, to earn through their posts and stories.
The WYLD platform was started in July 2023 and currently has around 1500 content pieces with more than 4 million views. It aims to benefit India’s over-influencers by monetizing their accounts and upgrading their lifestyles. The platform currently has a valuation of around $12 million.
Additionally, the episode witnessed a series of offers and counteroffers from sharks and pitchers. In the end, the CEO of Shaadi.com, Anupam Mittal, secured the deal with an investment of $90 thousand for a 1.5 percent equity stake at a valuation of $6 million.
WYLD Card on Shark Tank India Season 3: Where to buy, price & more
The WYLD Card is more than just a payment card, powered by VISA. It allows holders to earn 30 to 100 per cent cashback on purchases from 200+ partner brands. As mentioned earlier, Instagram users with more than 1,000 followers are eligible for this card. For the physical card, you have to make a one-time payment of $7.21.
The WYLD card’s earning is based on the cashback concept. To earn a cashback amount, a cardholder has to purchase a product from the partner brand. After making a purchase, the user has to post a picture on Instagram with a tag of the brand name (from where the product was purchased) and a WYLD card.
The valuation of cashback varies depending on the amount of product. The cashback rates also vary depending on the number of followers, reach, engagement, and more.
