Billie Eilish served as the musical guest on Saturday Night Live’s 2023 Christmas episode hosted by Kate McKinnon. Eilish performed “What Was I Made For?”, her contribution to the Barbie movie, as well as a cover of “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.”
For her performance of “What Was I Made For?”, Eilish was introduced by McKinnon and Barbie director Greta Gerwig. In a nod to the film, Eilish and her brother Finneas played in front of a screen that featured home videos of SNL’s cast members.
Eilish also appeared in a pair of sketches, including a pre-taped short called “Tampon Farm” alongside McKinnon, Gerwig, Maya Rudolph, Kristen Wiig, and Paula Pell. She also starred as McKinnon’s daughter in a funny sketch promoting a cat rescue shelter.
