Machine Gun Kelly has shown off a massive blackout tattoo he apparently got “for spiritual purposes only.”
The rapper-turned-pop punk singer debuted the painful-looking ink on his Instagram. The all-black tattoo covers the top half of his upper body, forming around a cross that runs from his chest to his abdomen.
On her own Instagram page, the tattoo artist ROXX called MGK one of her toughest clients for undergoing the process. “Made some art with @machinegunkelly,” she wrote. “Never met a tougher one.” In the comments, MGK replied, “thanks for the joy and the pain.”
In an interview with TMZ, ROXX said they started doing six-hour sessions at her LA studio back in mid-December. After 13 sessions, there’s still work to be done to finish the project.
This past October, MGK’s town hall during the Forbes Under 30 Summit was derailed when an audience member stormed the stage. This came after he fulfilled a fan’s wish to be punched in the face last July.
His last single, “PRESSURE,” was released in May 2023.
