Amber heard threatened by johnny Depp to pay her expenses after divorce
In a Virginia court, libel proceedings between Amber Heard and Johnny Depp continue. Jurors were shown yesterday a letter that Heard’s lawyer dispatched to Depp’s legal team in May 2016, just days after the actress pointed for divorce. A few days before, the couple had a big fight. According to Hurd, Depp hit her in the face with a cell phone.
In the letter, Amber Heard threatened to publicly serve Johnny Depp with a restraining charge if he did not resume to help her financially after the divorce. According to actress Samantha Spector’s lawyer, Amber wanted to hide their fight from the public. According to her, Amber wanted to resolve everything peacefully and hoped for her husband’s cooperation in the divorce.
Heard presented a list of requirements that her husband had to satisfy. She promised not to make the process public if Depp complied with her conditions.
So, Amber demanded that the Range Rover remains in her ownership. But, at the same time, Depp had to continue to make payments for him.
She also wanted to continue living in Depp’s three Los Angeles penthouses, where she stayed with friends and asked her ex-husband to cover $125,000 of her attorney and forensic accounting expenses.
How Depp reacted to the letter is unknown. Hurd’s team gave the actor three days to sign him. Otherwise, they promised to start a public trial against him. Probably, Depp did not agree to the conditions put forward by the ex-wife. The day after the letter was sent, the first reports of the couple’s divorce appeared. And three days later, Hurd filed for a temporary injunction against Depp and publicly accused him of domestic violence.
