Patrick Mahomes’ younger brother, Jackson Mahomes, has found himself in legal trouble after he allegedly assaulted a restaurant owner and got aggressive with another staff member.
According to a report published by the Kansas City Star on Saturday, the 22-year-old had gone with five friends to dine at Aspens Restaurant and Lounge in Overland Park, Kansas, on February 25. At one point, Jackson made his way down to the basement office and was caught by a 19-year-old waiter. The unidentified person told the outlet that when he blocked Jackson from entering, he started to shove the teen multiple times:
“I was going into our office downstairs where the employees are in the employee area, and he’s downstairs for I don’t know what reason. And I’m trying to get to the office, and he’s like, pushing me out. … And he’s like, ‘No, get out, get out.’”

The group eventually went to the VIP room upstairs. But later on that night, the owner Aspen Vaughn claimed Jackson, who was a friend of her stepdaughter and restaurant employee, asked to speak with her privately about the shoving incident. When they went to the basement office, she alleged that he started “forcibly” kissing her. Vaughn provided surveillance footage of the incident that shows Jackson grabbing her by the throat and kissing her. She also explained to The Star:
“He forcibly kissed me out of nowhere. And I’m telling him, pushing him off, saying ‘What are you doing?’ and then he proceeded to do it two more times. Where the last time I was pushing him off, and I can see on the cameras that somebody was outside the office door, and I was yelling for them to come help because he’s big and massive.”
Vaughn added:
“I was in shock. It’s disgusting. Like, you’re a child, and he was trying to say ‘We should be a power couple,’ and I’m like, ‘Clearly you’re out of your mind right now.’”
Noting that Jackson is over a foot taller than her, Vaughn claimed he left a bruise on her neck. You can see the video of the incident (below) – but warning, it is graphic:
WTF?! That is so not OK! While the Kansas City Police Department would not release the report of the alleged incident, a spokesperson told The Star they are investigating it at this time:
“The Police Department is aware of an incident that occurred on Feb. 25, 2023, at a business near 151st and Metcalf. The department is still investigating. Releasing any additional information would be inappropriate at this time. Anyone with information should contact the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS.”
The waiter has not decided whether he will press charges. Jackson’s attorney Brandan Davies has since shut down the accusations, telling The Star he “has done nothing wrong.” Davies then added in a statement to People:
“We have provided law enforcement with the tools and evidence they need to evaluate the claims against Jackson. Every interaction between people needs to be placed in the proper context. Releasing a short clip of any video does not provide proper context. We have faith in the process and look forward to a swift resolution of the matter.”
We’ll have to see what happens with this investigation. At this time, Patrick Mahomes has not spoken out about the incident. Reactions, Perezcious readers? Let us know in the comments below.
