Sara Foster is clearing the air on where she stands with stepsister Gigi Hadid and former stepmom Yolanda Hadid.
“Gigi and I stay in touch. We stay in touch. I don’t know, I message with her,” Foster, 43, explained on the Tuesday, October 29, episode of Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, noting the last time they spoke was “maybe a month ago.”
While Foster still talks to Gigi, 29, she hasn’t spoken to Yolanda, 60, in a while.
“It’s been a minute,” Foster explained to host Andy Cohen. “But I’d be happy to run into her. Yeah, absolutely.”
Sara’s dad, David Foster, divorced Yolanda in 2016. David, 74, shares Sara, Erin and Jordan with ex Rebecca Dyer, daughter Amy with B.J. Cook and daughter Allison from a previous relationship. He and his fifth wife, Katharine McPhee, share son Rennie, 3.
Yolanda, for her part, shares Gigi, Bella and Anwar with ex Mohamed Hadid.
Last month, Sara’s sister Erin also shared that she still keeps in contact with Gigi following their parents’ split.
“Gigi actually just DMed me last night saying she was starting to watch [Nobody Wants This],” Erin, 42, shared on Watch What Happens Live in September. “The kids don’t get divorced, just the parents do.”
Erin noted that it was hard for her to watch her dad on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills prior to his divorce from Yolanda.
“When you’re watching these shows, there’s like these trainwrecks that I can’t stop watching. All of a sudden, your family’s a part of it, it becomes less fun,” she told Cohen, 56. “You want to be able to laugh at it. I prefer to be a voyeur and a viewer. It’s like people who have Instagram accounts, they don’t post but they want to see everything. Because it’s chaos and you get to enjoy the chaos.”
Erin and Sara have previously opened up about having a strained relationship with David after he split from their mother in 1986. Following his divorce from Dyer, David was married to Linda Thompson from 1991 to 2005 before tying the knot with Yolanda in 2011. He and McPhee, 40, exchanged vows in 2015.
“Our dad was raising other children. He wasn’t raising us. He was raising Brandon [Jenner] and Brody [Jenner],” Sara claimed on the “Sibling Revelry” podcast in 2019. “So, for Erin, what weighed so heavily on her, was me. I was, like, dealing with my whole own emotional turmoil, which was watching my father raise other children. That was the thing that kept me up at night.”
