The Vanderpump Rules cast is furious AF about the Tom Sandoval and Raquel Leviss affair, but do they have the right to be?
In the latest edition of Scheana Shay’s podcast Scheananigans on Friday, the reality star sat down with her friends Kristen Doute and Lala Kent to discuss their collective pasts when it comes to cheating scandals and why they feel Scandoval is so different.
As we’ve been following, the TomTom co-owner was exposed for cheating on his longtime girlfriend Ariana Madix last week after the latter found an intimate video on his phone. The pair have since broken up while he’s seemingly moving full steam ahead with Raquel, with sources claiming they’re in love and in it for the long haul. That is if they can survive this PR crisis!

It’s been a truly messy situation, with legal drama and rumors swirling like crazy! Because VPR is currently filming new episodes of the show to capture all the drama as it occurs IRL, the women were instructed not to get into the nitty-gritty of the actual affair just yet, but they did get very candid while clapping back at hate from fans! Shay began the podcast by saying:
“It has been a crazy few days, to say the least. One thing I do wanna ask both of you — because I think all three of us are in similar positions — [is about] past affairs and things that we’ve been involved in. And I’ve seen so many people online being like, ‘How could you have an opinion about this? You were a homewrecker. You cheated on this person.’”
If you didn’t know, when Scheana first joined the series, she was actually introduced as the woman Eddie Cibrian was cheating on Brandi Glanville with. Later in the show, Lala admitted to hooking up with James Kennedy while he was in a relationship with Raquel, of all people. The Give Them Lala podcaster also began dating her now-ex-fiancé Randall Emmett while he was still married to Ambyr Childers. As for Kristen, while she and Sandoval were together in the first two seasons of the show, they both admitted to being very unfaithful (he even owned up to kissing Ariana). So, they aren’t exactly the models of perfect monogamous relationships, all things considered.
Kristen tackled the question first, insisting this scenario is nothing like her own infidelity. She shared about her and Tom’s past:
“We should have broken up after a year or two. … We stayed in it because we shared a DVR box. We shared bills, we shared a s**ty apartment. We didn’t have any money, we shared the same friend group. … We cheated on each other. We were very messy. … But I think what’s really been frustrating me on the internet right now are the people that actually think that like, ‘How you get him [is] how you lose him.’ … I have to debunk that so f**king fast because it is like, where have you guys all been?”
Also, she has no hard feelings for Ariana and does NOT think this is the universe’s way at getting back at the 37-year-old for kissing another woman’s man, the He’s Making You Crazy author argued:
“Ariana and I have been — I’m so lucky to call her a really good friend for many, many years now. Unfortunately, I had to thank her for, like, taking him out of my life… [But] there’s no karma coming down on her.”
Similarly, Lala called out Raquel for having the audacity to call her a “mistress” during the season 9 reunion last year when she was doing (or was about to do) the exact same thing. While discussing the cast’s discussion about the end of Lala and Randall’s marriage (and claims he cheated on her), Kent recalled:
“I was actually greeted last year at the reunion with that and drilled about what red flags I didn’t see. I was actually called a mistress by Raquel Leviss.”
Shocked, Scheana quipped, “That’s rich.” Elsewhere in the chat, Kristen insisted the Tom Sandoval & The Most Extras frontman will never stop cheating now that he’s made it such a pattern in his relationships, she noted:
“He is gonna do it to Raquel. He’s gonna do it to his next partner. He’s a soul-sucking human.”
There have already been reports that he may have been cheating on both Ariana and Raquel with at least one other woman, so, she might not be wrong.

All three women have been very vocal on #TeamAriana since the affair news rattled the internet. Raquel also filed a lawsuit against Shay (and obtained a temporary restraining order) after the TV personality allegedly punched her upon learning about the cheating scandal. Shay’s lawyer, Neama Rahmani, denied the allegations, telling Us Weekly:
“This case is a fabrication by a known liar and a cheat who has betrayed everyone close to her. Scheana never punched Raquel, period. The supposed dark markings around her left eye have been there for months. Neither Scheana nor other cast members want anything to do with Raquel going forward. The judge has only heard a one-sided account of what happened, and we look forward to presenting the full and true story at the March 29 hearing.”
So, not only does the whole cast have a ton of s**t to get into during the reunion special, which is set to be taped in about two weeks, but the embattled women also have a legal battle on their hands. Oof! While she didn’t get into the court issue on the podcast, Lala did tease:
“Security will definitely be amped up [for the reunion].”
To which Shay replied:
“Yeah, like, we need to have cages. Everyone needs their own personal bodyguard because oof.”
It’s unclear how the reunion will be structured considering the restraining order, but it seems Scheana is gearing up to speak her mind in whatever way she can! Reactions? Do U think these women have a right to be so upset by this affair despite their history with cheating? Sound OFF (below)!
