Anna Cardwell Threatened Alana Thompson Before Dying

Mama June: Family Crisis star Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson said that her late sister, Anna “Chickadee” Cardwell threatened to haunt her. Of course, by now, most WeTV fans are aware that Anna tragically passed away at the age of 29. Read on to find out why she said she would be spooky with her sister.

WeTV’s Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson Misses Anna

When Mama June fans found out that Anna Cardwell had cancer, most people assumed it would be operable, and treatment could save her life. However, it wasn’t to be, so everyone felt sad about her passing. Of course, her close relatives still grieve and miss her.

Life goes on, and despite the pain, Honey Boo Boo has things to do with her life. WeTV fans like that she seems to be a game changer for the Mama June: Familsy crisis cast. After all, she’s set her heart on college and she’s the first to do that. WeTV fans also saw a lot of drama with June Shannon who spent a lot of Alama Thompson’s money. So, college funds are a challenge.

Anna Cardwell Wanted Alana To Attend College

Like her other sisters, Anna didn’t have the opportunity to attend college. Lauryn “Pumpkin” Efird would have dearly loved to make it through higher education. So, she pushed her little sister to go for it. Meanwhile, Anna also encouraged Alana.

Speaking with People alongside her mom and sisters, Honey Boo Boo said:

I consistently remind myself when Anna told me, she was like, ‘If I pass and you’re not in nursing school, I will haunt you.”

Perhaps the threat worked because Alana Thompson remained in college. The WeTV star explained, “It went good… [There] was just a whole bunch that was going on in my first semester, but I got through it and my second semester…was a lot more smooth sailing.”

The Haunting Threat Motivates Alana?

Although she sounded like she was joking, you can see in the video below, that Honey Boo Boo really misses her sister. The Mama June stars can recall amusing times and share anecdotes about Anna Cardwell. However, their grief makes the WeTV stars very emotional. Hopefully, the day will come when Alana graduates college and enters the medical field. On that day, perhaps she will again recall Anna threatening to “haunt” her.
