Jenn Tran’s season of The Bachelorette came to an extremely messy conclusion on Tuesday, September 3. Many Bachelor Nation alums spoke out about how Jenn was treated by the network and her final two suitors. Her former contestant, Grant Ellis, was roasted online for showing support for Jenn’s ex. Keep reading for more.
Jenn Tran’s Season Ends In Heartbreak
Jenn Tran began her season with 25 suitors who hoped to be her future husband. After a few weeks of getting to know the Bachelorette men, she narrowed it down to Marcus Shoberg or Devin Strader.
She told Marcus that she was in love with him, but he didn’t immediately reciprocate her feelings. Instead, he said that he could get there eventually, but Jenn Tran wasn’t going to wait any longer. She sent him home before their final date, which left Devin Strader as her default choice.
While they happily got engaged, it wasn’t meant to be. Jenn Tran opened up on the live After The Final Rose special about their heartbreaking breakup. She said that her ex-fiance changed immediately after proposing. Bachelor In Paradise alum Mari Pepin spoke out after the finale about the changes she noticed in Devin as a viewer.
Grant Ellis Shows Support For Jenn Tran’s Ex
Devin Strader is an outcast in Bachelor Nation at the moment. No one has spoken up in his defense. Jenn Tran’s former contestant, Grant Ellis, was named last month as the next Bachelor for Season 29, which will air in 2025.
He took to social media to show support for Marcus Shoberg. He’s one of several Season 21 contestants to support Marcus after he spoke out about his emotional exit from the ABC dating show.
Grant Ellis wrote “Team Marcus baby!!!!” on his pal’s social media. Marcus replied that he can’t wait to watch his former romantic rival on The Bachelor next year.
Next Bachelor Roasted By Bachelor Nation Fans
The bromance didn’t go over well with Bachelor Nation fans. Rumors have circulated for months about Marcus Shoberg’s allegedly toxic and abusive behavior toward his past partners. However, it was never addressed on the show.
Bachelor Nation fans took to Reddit to roast Grant for his support of Marcus.
- Everything we see about this is reinforcement for why victims and survivors are so reluctant to come forward.
- Grant pls stop posting Sir.
- Definitely not watching his season now. Hard to watch at all.
- What’s sad is all of the men from this season supporting Marcus is representative of how most men and people in general treat allegations against men they know, like and/or respect
- GRANT YOU LITERALLY HAVE ONE JOB
