Bravo and Andy Cohen have faced some pretty serious allegations in recent years. Former Housewives NeNe Leakes (RHOA) and Leah McSweeney (RHONY) both filed lawsuits against the network and Andy Cohen. NeNe Leakes dismissed her lawsuit alleging a hostile work environment a few months after filing it.
Leah McSweeney’s court battle continues. She accused the network of pressuring her to drink despite knowing she was a recovering alcoholic, among other allegations.
Now, another former Bravo star made a serious accusation against Andy Cohen. They compared him to notorious ‘predator’ Harvey Weinstein. Keep reading to find out what’s going on.
Project Runway Returns To TV But Not On Bravo
Project Runway was a huge hit when it premiered on Bravo in 2004. It gave aspiring designers a chance to design clothes and learn about the fashion industry. The show initially featured Heidi Klum as host and Tim Gunn as a mentor with Nina Garcia and Michael Kors as judges.
The show was produced by the Weinstein Company, owned by Harvey Weinstein. Accusations of rape and other offenses later ruined Harvey Weinstein. An investigation into him was part of what sparked the #MeToo movement in 2017.
He was convicted of rape in 2020 but the conviction was later overturned. He was found guilty of a second count of rape in 2022 and was sentenced to sixteen years in prison.
Project Runway tried to continue after Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn left, but fans weren’t interested without them. But it was announced earlier this year that the popular fashion design show was coming back with Heidi Klum back as host. Season 4 winner Christian Siriano took over as mentor when Season 21 premiered in July. But instead of airing on Bravo, the new Project Runway season airs on Freeform.
Season 5 Alum Compares Andy Cohen To ‘Predator’ Harvey Weinstein
Andy Cohen’s legal troubles with Leah McSweeney are ongoing. He faced more serious allegations from Project Runway Season 5 contestant Kenley Collins took to Instagram to call Andy Cohen out for being a “predator” like Harvey Weinstein.
“Do you guys really think Harvey Weinstein was the worst one on set? Andy Cohen was,” she claimed. As producer, Harvey Weinstein was often on set of the early seasons of Project Runway.
Kenley Collins continued, “Andy Cohen was disgusting, horrible, worst, predator with the gays, hopping around the set like, ‘Hey T*****!’”
She claimed that the Bravo host propositioned the design contestants on the show for threesomes. She added, “We called you ‘The Gay Weinstein’, acting like a f****** clown on set.”
Bravo fans were divided over the accusations. One fan wrote, “LOVE ANDY sorry don’t believe you!”
Another praised the Project Runway alum for speaking out. “So Proud of you for telling the truth in your voice, Kenley,” they wrote.
A third fan suggested an investigation. “There needs to be a whole docu series about all the years Project Runway f**kery,” they wrote.
