Conan O’Brien Was A Staple Of Late Night Television
You have to go all the way back to 1993 to trace where Conan O’Brien first planted his late-night seeds. The comedian and host took the reins of Late Night with Conan O’Brien from 1993 until 2009. During that time, he made a name for himself as one of the go-to voices on the late-night talk show circuit.
Even today, many late-night hosts follow the same formula of a quick comedic routine to get the night started, followed by interviewing the various famous guests who pass through. With his trademark red hair, Irish name, and impeccable timing on his punchlines, Conan cemented himself as someone to watch in the late hours.
Conan Had A Brief Stint Hosting The Tonight Show
The crown jewel of the late-night show circuit is The Tonight Show. The show has been broadcast since 1954. Iconic names like Johnny Carson, Jay Leno, and more have been attached to it. Conan O’Brien even hosted it briefly when Jay Leno left, only to be let go about a year later.
Since 2014, Jimmy Fallon has been at the helm. There are a lot of late-night talk shows around, with many that have come and gone, but, The Tonight Show has been an iconic staple in households for almost 70 years.
Comedian Set To Make Surprising Return
Conan O’Brien will make his shocking return to The Tonight Show set for the first time since he was let go from his hosting duties. It has been 14 years since O’Brien was given the ax. With his return to the set, it’s clear he is willing to let bygones be bygones and bury the hatchet.
O’Brien will make his triumphant return to The Tonight Show set as a guest on April 9. He will be back on the late-night circuit to promote his new travel show on Max, Conan O’Brien Must Go. Conan will be flying internationally to different locations to meet with people who he has had on his podcast.
