Could Hallmark Bring ‘Good Witch’ Back? Stars Share Update

It has been four and a half years since Good Witch ended with Season 7. However, Goodies have been holding out hope. Could Hallmark bring back the magical series for a movie? Here is what some of the cast recently said about that possibility.

Good Witch Cast Are ‘All In’ For Reunion Movie

At the recent Christmas Con in New Jersey, several members of the Good Witch cast reunited. That includes Catherine Bell (Cassie), James Denton (Sam), Catherine Disher (Martha), and Sarah Power (Abigail). According to Entertainment Now, the foursome shared some fun stories on the panel.

However, the biggest news to come out of this event was that they are all united and “ready to bring the franchise back whenever Hallmark gives them the go-ahead.” They are just waiting for the word and they are all in. Catherine Bell first shared how much she misses the series. “I really miss doing the show. I miss it.” She then continued, “I miss you guys. I miss the character.” Understandably, she all confessed, “I miss the magic.”

Next, she talked about a possible movie. “We have not given up trying to get a movie made. We’re working on it. We’re all in.

James Denton continued. “We’re making it easy. We’re just like, ‘Tell us where to be. We all want to do it. Just set up and we’ll show up.’ We’re hoping.”

Needless to say, Catherine Disher and Sarah Power agreed with what Catherine Bell and James Denton said.

Lastly, Bell pointed out that they were “a bit surprised that it ended. It seemed to end a little bit sooner than I think everyone wanted.” She continued by mentioning that it ended faster than what fans wanted. When Wonya Lucas came in as CEO, she made a lot of drastic changes including all but ending Hallmark Mystery movies and canceling Good Witch.

A Good Witch Movie Could Fulfill Need For Halloween Content

Since Hallmark kicks off Christmas movies in mid-October, many viewers have complained about the lack of Halloween movies. Moreover, since they stopped making Good Witch Halloween themed movies, it would seem natural that the network start out by making these movies again. This would fit a need and reunite this much-missed cast.

For a while, Good Witch was on Netflix. Not anymore. Fans can watch the entirety of the series on Hallmark+, the rebranded streaming channel.

Fans can subscribe for $7.99 a month, or $79.99 a year to the streaming service.
