Lisa Vanderpump is finally speaking out on the allegations revolving around Bravo face and producer, Andy Cohen. She has been on the network for over a decade and knows Cohen extremely well. So, what does she make of everything being thrown at him? Keep reading for more details.
Lisa Vanderpump Finally Speaks Out On Andy Cohen Allegations
Andy Cohen has had to deal with a slew of allegations from sexual harassment to claims that he does drugs with Bravolebs. Brandi Glanville slammed him and said he sexually harassed her, something that he went into detail about. More so, he apologized and said it was never meant to cause any harm. Along with that, RHONY alum Leah McSweeney claimed Cohen did cocaine and was doing it with Bravolebs. In return for partying with these cast members, they would get a better edit which he completely denied.
Many Bravo stars came out in support of Cohen and said he had only been kind to him. Now, Lisa Vanderpump is speaking up. LVP has been a Bravo staple since the inception of RHOBH which spawned Vanderpump Rules. From there, both Summer House and The Valley were created so LVP knows Cohen better than most. She was also close to Brandi Glanville during their time on Beverly Hills together. What does she have to say about these harsh allegations? According to People, the restaurant mogul shared this while appearing on The Talk. She shared she “had a very close relationship with Andy over the years,” with it being a “very playful relationship.”
Lisa Vanderpump added:
“I think I’ve been one of the few people that have done Watch What Happens Live on their own for many years and had a kind of very connected relationship, and he’s playful. He’s inappropriately naughty, like I am, too. I mean, that’s what Bravo is a lot of the time. But it is innocuous. He’s a gay man that we have a lot of fun with. So, am I on his side? Damn right, I’m on his side.”
She went on to point out that those who are making these harsh accusations happen to be from exited Bravolebs.
The Drug Aspect
Though Lisa Vanderpump appreciates Andy Cohen’s brand of raunchiness and fun banter, she also addressed the drug comments. That is one thing she stands by as being completely false:
“But when it comes to these drug allegations, a thousand percent I would know, and no way does it ever happen.”
Cohen’s lawyer has requested that Leah McSweeney “immediately” take back what she had said regarding him and his drug use. He maintains that what she has said is “littered with false, offensive, and defamatory statements.” Hopefully, with everyone standing behind and by him, the truth will prevail. For the time being, rumors are still flying that he may be leaving Bravo though he has also denied that.
