Fans were introduced to Abbey Romeo and David Isaacman through the docuseries, Love on the Spectrum. The pair would soon become a fan-favorite couple. The two have recently talked about their current plans for the future, while looking back at their time together.
From A Blind Date To A Fan-Favorite Couple
Love on the Spectrum is an American remake of the Australian reality show of the same name. The series, which streams on Netflix, revolves around people on the autism spectrum as they experience dating and relationships.
Viewers first met Abbey Romeo and David Isaacman back in 2022. While Romeo was considered a main cast-member from the start, Isaacman went from recurring to main cast between the first and second seasons.
As seen on the show, the two first met through a blind date on the show’s first season. The two soon bonded over their shared love of animals, like lions.
Isaacman recently spoke with US Weekly, as shared by US Magazine, and talked about his relationship with Romeo. “We [are] gonna get engaged someday,” he noted.
Taking the moment to describe all that she means to him, Isaacman added, “[Abbey] likes all the things I like and she tries new things too.” He continued, “She is loving and kind … and she is beautiful and makes me feel like a prince.”
The Two Have A Few More Adventures Planned
For her part, Romeo agreed that she sees a future with Isaacman but wants to take her time. As she explained, “[We’ll] get engaged someday … [right now] we’re having a blast.”
Romeo also talked about the fun times she and Isaacman have been having together. She even shared such a date that even reflected their shared love of animals. She noted, “I took David to the Living Desert Zoo in Palm Springs for his birthday. We saw three cheetahs. We got to feed a rhino and pet the rhino and we even fed a giraffe. It was the coolest thing I’ve ever done.”
During the show’s second season, Isaacman surprised Romeo with a trip to Africa. Tying into their love of lions, the two even performed a duet of “Can You Feel The Love Tonight” from The Lion King. Looking back, Romeo noted, “I liked seeing us back in Africa.” She continued, “It brought back our memories of our safari.”
Romeo shared a few other plans the two hope to one day accomplish. “Our dream adventure is Atlantis Bahamas because that was [David’s] childhood vacation,” she explained. Isaacman, added they would “definitely” like to visit the Bahamas — Abbey likes to do waterslides!”
