What Is Luke Macfarlane’s Home Is Where The Heart Is About?
The rebranded Hallmark+ streaming site has been the home of several new reality series including Finding Mr. Christmas, Celebrations With Lacey Chabert, and now Home Is Where The Heart Is. According to Variety, this series is different from the others. This is a different sort of remodeling series. Moreover, it will use Luke Macfarlane’s keen woodworking skills.
In this series, Luke and designer Olivia Westbrooks help families. Along with their team, they go to a “once-glorious house that has either been inherited or holds special meaning to them, but is long overdue for some TLC.” Once they identify what the family needs, the team has a mission to “seamlessly blend the past and the present, creating a beautiful family dream home that feels refreshed and welcoming, but maintains the heart, love, and charm that has been present inside its walls for decades.”
This is one tall order. Most of all, Luke Macfarlane is determined that this be a special series that is not like anything other home renovation show that has ever been done before.
Luke Macfarlane Shares How This Renovation Series Is Not Like The OthersL
Luke Macfarlane plans to get his hands dirty and get “real sweaty2 in the new Hallmark+ new renovation series Home Is Where The Heart Is. But he is not interested in doing things like the other guys. He wants to get to know the family and come up with the right project that meets their needs. Luke is not interested in telling others what to do.
The process of getting to know somebody by drawing them out is always so much deeper and so much more satisfying than the process of telling somebody what they should or shouldn’t know.
Everything has to have “a certain significance.” This could have to do with the era of the home, or perhaps family history. But, the final result is something special and handcrafted. That is because Luke is a woodworker and he is putting his special, heartfelt touch to the project.
When Will Hallmark+ Drop Home Is Where The Heart Is?
Hallmark+ will drop two episodes of Home Is Where The Heart Is on Thursday, March 20. After that, there will be weekly episodes with the finale dropping on Thursday, April 17. That is a total of six episodes.
