After years and years of never reporting analytics about its viewership, Netflix has made public a report called What We Watched: A Netflix Engagement Report to showcase just what people watched over the first six months of 2023, from January 1 to June 30. And it includes shows that may surprise you.
What We Watched: A Netflix Engagement Report showcases the hours viewed for every title — original and licensed — watched for over 50,000 hours, the premiere date for any Netflix TV series or film, and whether a title was available globally.
The report covers more than 18,000 titles, including FUBAR, Wednesday, and You— representing 99% of all viewing on Netflix — and nearly 100 billion hours viewed, according to the streamer. Netflix’s data also breaks out titles by season, so titles such as Ginny & Georgia appear in the report multiple times.
