The View moderator, Whoopi Goldberg took time to warn people there is a predatory scam circulating online. She is livid that artificial intelligence (AI) is using her image to wrongfully bait people into believing false information.
Whoopi Goldberg Squeezes In Time For A Personal Announcement
A video of The View, posted on Wednesday, February 5, shows Whoopi Goldberg took time to let the audience know where she stands on an issue that has arisen. In a world where technology has escalated very quickly, it is sometimes difficult to know what is true and what is fake.
Squeezing in her message before cutting to a commercial break, Whoopi made it known she did not consent to her image being modified and used as a spokesperson for weight loss drugs randomly being promoted. Even more so, she is livid the ads are even able to use her without permission.
Whoopi Goldberg Is Livid AI Uses Her To Bait People
While The View moderator Whoopi Goldberg was adding her two cents about AI generation, she made it clear it can be intrusive and wrong. “There’s a phony weight loss ad floating around online, on Instagram, that has me — uh huh,” she acknowledges the audience. Furthermore, she says, “AI-mouthed, saying all kinds of stuff about — you know, I don’t sell anything. Unless I say, ‘Hey, it’s me, Whoopi,’ that’s how you know it’s me.” Then, she continues her “heads up” about companies baiting people by describing the images. Specifically, the ad uses her appearance on CBS Sunday Morning. However, the images have manipulation that makes them flow with the promotion. Additionally, she warns, “And they have me selling bad weight loss drugs. Do not, do not indulge in this.” She encourages everyone to “get rid” of the ad clarifying she doesn’t endorse those drugs.
‘Do Not Fall For It’
However, The View moderator, Whoopi Goldberg, has been transparent about her use of Mounjaro to lose significant weight. She doesn’t knock that there is a variety of products that work that are on the market. Although she supports people using some aids during their weight loss journey, she is disgusted that people can take her image without her consent to sell their products. Furthermore, she says, “I don’t know who these people are, that’s the problem with AI.” Likewise, she wants people to understand she is against this practice, “You don’t know who made it, but I’m telling you, it’s a lot of B.S., do not fall for it.” She is upfront about how she had success losing weight and doesn’t want anyone to be a victim of the lies.
- One YouTube commenter says, “I saw the ad today and reported it and blocked them.”
- Someone else says, “I knew it was fake the second I saw it. They are doing the same with Kelly Clarkson.”
- Another user points out the problem is growing, “AI is a threat to the SOUL of humanity in all areas. It MUST be regulated by laws.”
