Welcome To Plathville fans have been curious about all of the “friends” who appear in TLC scenes for the show. Many have even called them out as paid actors and more. Recently, Olivia Plath dished on all of these so-called friends. So, what did she have to say about them?
Welcome To Plathville Fans Think Friends Are Paid Actors
Over the course of the six seasons of Welcome To Plathville, in addition to filming the family and all of the siblings, there have been many guest appearances as well. Whether it’s family friends or individual friends of the TLC cast members, there have been a lot of side characters who have come on.
With this being the case, many Welcome To Plathville fans believe that TLC hired actors to pose as friends. Most viewers call out the fact that the Plath family members are not all that interesting on their own.
So, from a storyline perspective, it makes sense to bring on “fake” friends to add layers to the scenes. The way many viewers see it, a lot of people think this is the case.
Olivia Plath Dishes On The Friends In TLC Scenes
With all the Welcome To Plathville fan speculation about the network hiring paid actors to pose as friends, Olivia Plath recently spilled the tea on this, and she had plenty to say on the matter, too.
According to Olivia, she said: “Anytime I’ve had a friend on the show, they’ve been someone I met and friended organically.”
Olivia Plath continued, saying: “Most of my friends I’ve had in my life long term aren’t comfortable going on national television. So I have quite a large network of friends that will never be on tv.”
Welcome To Plathville Fans Recently Defended Olivia
In recent Welcome To Plathville Season 6 scenes, Barry Plath said that he and Veronica Peters bonded over their experience dealing with narcissists. While most viewers still believe that Barry was talking about Kim Plath, Veronica said that Olivia was the narcissist.
This did not sit well with Welcome To Plathville fans for a number of reasons. A lot of them stepped up to the plate to defend Olivia against Veronica smearing her name.
According to many viewers, Veronica is trying a little too hard to get in good with the Plath family now that she is dating Micah Plath, and the quickest way to do that is by throwing Olivia under the bus.
The way that Olivia tells it, these friends of hers that appear in scenes are real. So, that’s one less thing that viewers have to worry about in terms of something being fake, and many people appreciate Olivia for her honesty.
