“Without each other maybe we would’ve believed what the world told us about ourselves…” Searchlight Pictures has revealed an official trailer for the comedy film event The Supremes at Earl’s All-You-Can-Eat, also known as just Supremes. Adapted from the beloved book of the same name written by Edward Kelsey Moore. The heartfelt, uplifting story follows a trio of best friends known as “The Supremes” who, for decades, have weathered life’s storms together through marriage and children, happiness, and even blues. The book is described as a “warmhearted, ‘complex, believable, and always intriguing story’ that celebrates female friendship and second chances.” Starring Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, Sanaa Lathan, Uzo Aduba as the titular “The Supremes” women, along with Mekhi Phifer, Julian McMahon, Vondie Curtis-Hall, and Russell Hornsby. Even if this seems good enough to go watch in the cinema, Searchlight is skipping theaters and sending it to Hulu directly – for streaming later in August at the end of the summer this year.
