“Are we ever going to know what really happened?” Peacock has revealed a teaser trailer for a series called Lockerbie: A Search For Truth, which will be streaming on Peacock in the US and UK in early January 2025. Created by Sky TV and Carnival Films, this series is a look at one of the worst terrorist disasters in UK history. Many may remember this. On December 21st, 1988, Pan Am Flight 103 explodes over the Scottish town of Lockerbie, 38 minutes after takeoff, killing 259 on board and 11 on the ground. Dr. Jim Swire loses his daughter Flora. “We we have followed Jim Swire’s remarkable story for decades… In part a profoundly moving character story of love and loss, this drama is as much an investigative political thriller that shows how an ordinary man with unstoppable determination can take on governments & world leaders in pursuit of truth.” Exploring events from the disaster and its aftermath, Lockerbie provides an intimate account of a man who risks everything in memory of his daughter and the unflinching pursuit of truth & justice.
