Korean Mystery Thriller Series ‘The Frog’ Teaser Trailer with Go Min-si

“One peaceful day, an unwelcome guest arrived…” Netflix has revealed a teaser trailer for a mystery thriller series from Korea titled The Frog, directed by Korean TV director Mo Wan-il (“Siruis”, “The World of the Married”). It’s set to stream on Netflix worldwide this August. One tranquil summer, a mysterious woman checks into a vacation rental — triggering events that disrupt the lives of the owner and those around him. The story revolves around ordinary people whose peaceful lives are thrown into turmoil by the arrival of this guest in the middle of summer. Korean actress Go Min-si (aka Ko Min-si) stars as Seong-a, who arrives at Young-ha’s (played by Kim Yoon-seok) pension, forcing him to grasp tightly to what he cherishes most… Netflix adds that the series has an ominous atmosphere, “setting the stage for a gripping tale of disrupted tranquility and unforeseen chaos.” Also starring Yoon Kye-sang and Lee Jung-eun. From this footage, it looks like she’s a serial killer trying to get revenge on someone or perhaps hide there? Very creepy & strange.

The Frog is a suspense thriller revolving around the story of people whose peaceful lives are upended and thrown into uncontrollable incidents due to a mysterious guest who arrives in the middle of summer. Kim Yun-seok stars as Young-ha, the owner of a tranquil pension vacation rental in the middle of the woods. His peace is disturbed by an enigmatic guest named Seong-a, played by actress Ko Min-si, who takes on a completely different role and turns in a chilling performance. The Frog, also known as 아무도없는숲속에서 in Korean, is a series directed by Korean filmmaker Mo Wan-il, also director of the Korean TV series “Smile Again”, “Sirius”, “Beautiful Mind”, “Misty”, and “The World of the Married” previously. The screenplay is written by Son Ho-young. It’s produced by SLL and Studio Flow in Korea. Netflix debuts Mo Wan-il’s The Frog series streaming on Netflix worldwide starting August 23rd, 2024 late this summer. Who’s curious?
