“You run out on every guy you’ve ever been with!” Decal Releasing has unveiled the trailer for a romantic comedy called Which Brings Me To You, arriving in theaters in January 2024 next month. It’s from the same filmmaker who previously made the romcoms Then Came You and The Hating Game, and this one will probably be just like those two. Lucy Hale and Nat Wolff star in this hilarious tale of love and disaster. Two romantic burnouts meet at a wedding and almost hook up in the coatroom before putting the brakes on. They agree to exchange candid confessions about their pasts on the off chance that this might be the real thing. “Trading candid confessions of messy histories and heartbreak” – revisiting their own “past lives” on screen. The film’s supporting cast includes John Gallagher Jr., Ward Horton, Genevieve Angelson, Alexander Hodge, Britne Oldford, Marceline Hugot, and Laura Kai Chen. This looks super cheesy, as expected of course, but there’s also a nice chemistry between these two that might make it a good watch.
Here’s the official trailer (+ poster) for Peter Hutchings’ Which Brings Me To You, direct from YouTube:
Two romantic burnouts, Jane and Will (Lucy Hale and Nat Wolff), are immediately drawn to each other at a mutual friend’s wedding. After a disastrous hookup in the coatroom, the two spend the next 24 hours together, trading candid confessions of messy histories and heartbreak, on the off chance that this fling might be the real thing. Which Brings Me To You is directed by the writer / filmmaker Peter Hutchings, director of the other fun films Rhymes with Banana, The Outcasts, Then Came You, and The Hating Game previously. The screenplay is written by Keith Bunin. Adapted from the novel of the same name written by Julianna Baggott and Steve Almond. Produced by Claude Dal Farra and Brian Keady. This hasn’t premiered at any festivals or elsewhere, as far as we know. Decal Releasing will debut Hutchings’ Which Brings Me To You in theaters starting January 19th, 2024 coming up soon next month.
