“We need to take a closer look at what divides the Baby Boomers from the rest of us.” Nebula has revealed an official trailer for Boomers, a documentary film examining the Boomer generation. Finally someone went and made this and decided to tell the real story about the Baby Boomers! But it’s made by a Millennial from the UK, offering a unique perspective. Here’s the intro: Old people run the world. With wealth flowing upward and octogenarians in power, life for the young is tougher than ever. Join director Tom Nicholas as he uncovers the rise of the gerontocracy and the questionable legacy of the Baby Boomers. Have they really ruined the world? Why do they have so much wealth? Tom investigates how a generation that seemingly had it all has left a complicated mess for those who come after. Shot in New York, Washington DC, Florida’s The Villages, Paris, and UK. Boomers, the debut feature-length documentary from Tom Nicholas, follows a trail across New York, Washington DC, Florida’s The Villages, Paris, and London to uncover the rise of the gerontocracy and now the questionable legacy of the Baby Boomers. In a time of intense intergenerational tension, Tom investigates how a generation that seemingly had it all has left a complicated mess for those who come after. Boomers is a documentary directed by British filmmaker Tom Nicholas, making his feature directorial debut with this project. Produced by Trenton Waterson and Dave Wiskus. This hasn’t premiered at any festivals or elsewhere, as far as we know. Nebula debuts the Boomers doc streaming on Nebula starting November 4th, 2024 this fall.
