“When desire is your darkest secret.” Gravitas has revealed an official trailer a film titled Demise, marking the feature directional debut of producer / filmmaker Yara Estrada Lowe. This erotic noir thriller is set for a VOD release in February if anyone is seduced to watch. Demise features a plot involving a very messy love triangle between a married man in Los Angeles named Caleb (played by Carlo Mendez), and his wife Celine (Liz Fenning), and his mistress (Crystal Hernandez). Things take a sinister turn when Caleb decides to leave his wife, and she then becomes extremely obsessed with the newborn son he has with his new partner. Yara Estrada’s Demise film stars Carlo Mendez, Liz Fenning, Crystal Hernandez, along with Morris Jude Martinez, Richard Rivera, Lucy Serrano, Caitlin Rose Williams, & Lamar Alexander. This looks twisted & messed up, much darker than yet another tale of jealousy & revenge. Watch out for crazy ex-wives.

Set in present day, Latino landscaper, Caleb Castillo, leads a double life. He is entangled in a steamy affair with rising fashion star, Fiona, while simultaneously devoted to his beautiful wife, Celine. Celine wants a child with Caleb more than anything in the world. As Fiona’s patience wears thin with Caleb’s promises to leave his wife, Celine discovers Caleb’s infidelity; they break up. Caleb and Fiona begin to forge a new life together, but Celine becomes obsessed with reclaiming what she believes is rightfully hers, including his newborn son, Brody. It appears that she may just succeed. But when Celine thinks she has achieved her devious goals, the film takes yet another twist & turn on this roller coaster ride of a modern-day noir, set in LA. Demise is written and directed by producer / filmmaker Yara Estrada Lowe, making her feature directorial debut after working as first assistant director on the “Youthful Daze” series previously. Produced by Mycole Metcalf, Anabelle D. Munro, Yara Estrada Lowe. This hasn’t premiered at any fests or elsewhere, as far as we know. Gravitas will debut Demise direct-to-VOD starting February 27th, 2024 coming soon.
