“We ain’t gonna follow nobody, except somebody who can hold their own.” Focus Features has debuted a third official trailer for The Bikeriders, made by filmmaker Jeff Nichols. Finally opening in theaters this June. It premiered at film festivals last fall, but was pulled off the 2023 schedule during the big strikes last year. Focus Features picked it up and launched a new trailer for it a few months ago (catch the 2023 trailer here). The Bikeriders is a furious drama following the rise of a fictional 1960s Midwestern motorcycle club through the lives of its members. The impressive ensemble cast, most of whom did their own riding on many period-accurate motorcycles, features Jodie Comer, Austin Butler, Tom Hardy, Michael Shannon, Mike Faist, Boyd Holbrook, and Norman Reedus. If you need any more footage to convince you to go watch this, there’s plenty of great scenes in here. Roll with all The Bikeriders on the big screen next month.

Inspired by Danny Lyon’s iconic book of photography, The Bikeriders immerses you in the look, feel, and sounds of the bare-knuckled, grease-covered subculture of ’60s motorcycle riders. Kathy, a strong-willed member of the Vandals who’s married to a wild, reckless bikerider named Benny, recounts their evolution over the course of a decade, beginning as a local club of outsiders united by good times, rumbling bikes, and respect for their strong, steady leader Johnny. Over the years, Kathy tries to navigate her husband’s untamed nature and his allegiance to Johnny, with whom she also feels she must compete for Benny’s attention. As life in the Vandals gets more dangerous, and the club threatens to become a more sinister gang, Kathy, Benny and Johnny are forced to make choices about their loyalty to the club and to each other. The Bikeriders is both written and directed by acclaimed American filmmaker Jeff Nichols, director of the films Shotgun Stories, Take Shelter, Mud, Midnight Special, and Loving previously. It’s produced by Sarah Green, Brian Kavanaugh-Jones, and Arnon Milchan. This initially premiered at the 2023 Telluride Film Festival. Focus Features will debut The Bikeriders in theaters starting June 21st, 2024 this summer.
