Dancing With the Stars judge Carrie Ann Inaba has long been called out for being harsh and overly critical. Now, she is being slammed for calling out Guillermo Rodriguez’s “dim light.” So, what are DWTS fans saying regarding Carrie Ann? Keep reading for more details.
Carrie Ann Inaba Is In The Hot Seat
Out of the three DWTS judges, Carrie Ann Inaba can be the worst, at least according to the viewers. They feel that she scores incredibly low and is very cruel in her critique. Yes, Derek Hough can be a little rough, but it rarely touches Carrie Ann. One of the fan-favorite celebrities this season is Guillermo Rodriguez, who is dancing with Witney Carson. He is not the best dancer, but he is improving, and he is trying his hardest, which is why he has yet to be eliminated.

On the Tuesday, October 6th episode, Carrie Ann Inaba called out Guillermo for not shining as brightly as he usually does. She felt that he was holding back and did not want him to dim his light. Quickly, she asked:
“What was going on? No, I’m serious. Where is all your joy?”
That was met with “boos” from the audience, who did not care for her calling him out like that. She snapped back and reminded them that she was doing her job. Moreover, Carrie Ann explained to Guillermo and the DWTS crowd that his smile and light were what made him so incredibly special:
“Look, this is what I get paid for, people. I want to tell you because I don’t want you to ever dim your light. You’re special, and you have a natural gift that we all need. Don’t ever not smile in a dance, I need your light. We all do.”

Viewers immediately demanded that Carrie Ann be fired, as they have grown tired of her critique. Furthermore, they do not appreciate the way that she plays favorites, or at least that is their perception.
Time To Go
Carrie Ann Inaba has been called out since the beginning for being too hard on the dancers. However, she will always maintain that she is doing her job as a DWTS judge, which is fair. Is there a better way to go about it? Maybe, but this is her way, and it has kept her employed for 35 seasons. Yet, viewers are thinking that maybe it might be time to hang up her judging and dancing shoes:
- She finally needs to go. She plays favorites and you can tell by her scoring. The show has run its course.
- It’s really time for Carrie Ann and Bruno to go.
- Haters gonna hate. Go gulliermo!
Others do agree with Carrie Ann and do not think that there is any reason for Guillermo to still be on the show, as long as he has been.
Finally, do you believe that it is time for Carrie Ann to exit DWTS, or is she just doing her job? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
