The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation recently announced the nominees for their 34th Annual GLAAD Media Awards. This year’s nominations include some of our favorite horror staples, including Chucky.
Don Mancini and crew are having a stellar week as this nomination comes on the heels of the fan-favorite show getting renewed for a third season. The news broke this weekend that SYFY heard our pleas and ordered another season of Chucky and Reginald The Vampire.

The brainchild of Mancini is up for Outstanding Drama Series at this year’s GLAAD awards, and we love to see it! The Shudder docuseries Queer for Fear also got a well-deserved nomination for Outstanding Documentary. FX shows American Horror Story: NYC is nominated for Outstanding Limited or Anthology Series, while What We Do in the Shadows picked up a nomination for Outstanding Comedy Series. Another show we are excited to see get some love is AMC’s Interview with the Vampire in the Outstanding New TV Series.
Other horror nominations we are currently celebrating are Nope, Scream, and Bodies Bodies Bodies getting recognized in the Outstanding Film – Wide Release category.The Netflix animated Wendell & Wild is nominated for Outstanding Film – Limited Release.

The GLAAD Media Awards ceremonies, which fund GLAAD’s work to accelerate LGBTQ acceptance, are currently scheduled to be held in Los Angeles at the Beverly Hilton on Thursday, March 30, 2023, and in New York at the Hilton Midtown on Saturday, May 13, 2023.
