Need some help to crack the September 12 edition of NYT Connections? Add another day to your daily winning streak with these clues and hints.

Created by editor Wyna Liu, Connections is one of the most unique puzzles offered by The New York Times. It is a daily word game whose objective is to create groups of four from 16 given words. Players must sort the words according to hidden common themes that are unique to each group. However, the game offers only four guesses to make the selections. Furthermore, players also receive a helpful “one away…” notification when they are close to choosing all the correct words.

Since the yellow group often has the most obvious theme, we advise players to sort it first before moving on to the next categories. Meanwhile, the purple group is the most difficult to figure out and is usually left for the end.
