Apple TV has released the first trailer for Last Seen featuring Patrick Brammall. The upcoming Australian thriller is based on Ryan David Jahn’s 2011 novel, The Dispatcher.
The show is scheduled to premiere Wednesday, September 9, 2026, on Apple TV+, with its first two episodes. The debut season of the show will feature six episodes. The remaining episodes will arrive weekly on Wednesdays, with the season finale arriving on October 7, 2026.
Written by Kris Mrksa, the story follows a police dispatcher in Victoria, Australia, who becomes convinced that a distress call he receives is from his daughter, who went missing 11 years ago. The series is directed by Emmy Award-nominated filmmaker Christian Schwochow, who also serves as an executive producer.

What happens in Last Seen trailer?
The trailer introduces viewers to Ian Ridley, a former police detective whose life changed dramatically 11 years ago when his young daughter, Maggie, went missing. Ridley now works as a police dispatcher, driven by his conviction that his daughter is still alive. A flicker of hope emerges when he receives a distress call from a teenage girl whom he believes to be Maggie. Ridley is determined to risk everything to find her and bring her to safety.
The trailer opens with Ridley receiving the fated distress call from the young girl. The teenager on the other end of the line says her name could be “Mags.” This convinces Ridley that she is his missing daughter.
The video goes on to feature a montage of some of the most gripping scenes from the show. The clips offer a glimpse into Ridley’s investigation and relentless search for his missing daughter.
Last Seen stars Patrick Brammall as Ian Ridley, with Maxine Peake, Brendan Cowell, Daniel Henshall, Zahra Newman, and Felix Cameron also starring.
