Amid growing anticipation for Spider-Man: Brand New Day‘s second trailer, Tom Holland has dropped some major news. The update signals continued marketing efforts as the film approaches its release date.
Tom Holland announces Spider-Man: Brand New Day global tour
Tom Holland recently announced that the cast of Spider-Man: Brand New Day is embarking on a massive global tour. Highlighting the “Spidey Tracker,” he encouraged fans to guess their first destination while expressing excitement about meeting and talking about the film and all things related to the webslinger.
As of this writing, the Spidey Tracker website does not list the destination; instead, it asks visitors to “check back soon.”
With tickets going on sale this week, the second trailer is highly anticipated. Reports point to a possible release date of Wednesday, June 17, 2026, for the official footage.
The film swings into theaters on July 31. Destin Daniel Cretton, who previously helmed Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings and co-created Disney+’s Wonder Man, directed the movie. Meanwhile, Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers co-wrote the screenplay, later revised with the help of Challengers and Queer writer Justin Kuritzkes. The latter will receive a writing credit for his work (via The Wrap).
Meanwhile, the official synopsis reads, “It’s a BRAND NEW DAY for Peter Parker. Fighting crime full-time as Spider-Man in a world that doesn’t remember him—and the pressure of seeing his old friends move on without him—sparks a change in Peter he may not have the power to control.”
It continues, ” But that transformation might also be the only thing that can stop a shocking new threat to the city and those he loves – a powerful villain no one can even see. The world may have forgotten Peter Parker, but he hasn’t forgotten them.”
Tom Holland returns as the title character. Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, Michael Mando, and Mark Ruffalo reprise their MCU roles of MJ, Ned, Frank Castle/Punisher, Mac Gargan/Scorpion, and Bruce Banner/Hulk. New cast members include Sadie Sink, Tramell Tillman, Marvin Jones III, Eman Esfandi, Liza Colón-Zayas, and Keith David.
