The Internet blew up, of course, and some of the talk was unfortunately unfavorable—for BIG O! BIG O posted on Instagram about a diamond chain worth over $100,000. The huge letters spelled out BIG OPP, fancy enough to glitter down the price. Few showered him with praise, while many just went off:

Basically, it was a purchase celebration post, with tons of shout-outs to the jeweler, Ice Brothers: “Not no fake azzzz free promo moissanite.” BIG OPP then threw some shade at those who can’t even tag their jewelers: “Nggas Can’t Even Tag They Jeweler 😂.” It was a good vibe; the bling sparkled too bright, and the comments were entirely offbeat.
The debates began right away after the post went up. One user tried to throw down: “That chain ain’t cost no 100k gang 😂.” This one doubled down on: “bro stop, thats moissanites …. you tagged the ice brothers they whole page full of moissanite shit .. big cap.” Quickly clapping back were his supporters, jumping on the bandwagon to defend BIG OPP while accusing the nay-sayers of “pocket watching” and being haters. One said, “grown man lurking 20 year olds😆,” further responding was: “56 on here hating no Jay at all.”
But there were those who just wan’t to make that question irrelevant and bothersome—and really here just for the flex. “DA BIGGEST DRENCHHHHHHH YOU CBFW 😭🥹❤️🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥,” hyped a fan. Another went further with: “AND HE ONLY 21 😭 What Yall Finna Do With Him ? Shittttttttttttt Lil Shorty put this shit in they face ! 💕🫶🏾.” The love was very genuine, and the evidence not so much.
Then the jokes began. “Spent $4 on mine. Only $96,000 more to go. 😭😭😭,” commented one user. “Well you know the rules 😂 we see how long you have this one 😂,” warned another, playfully alluding to the short lifespan of flashy jewelry in the street world.
One nation’s great distress: BIG OPP never fails. Whether real-diamond-for-the-money-worth, moissanite, or something in-between, the post did exactly what it was meant to—the moment to cement his name, throw some mud, and keep the conversation flowing. And with fans already asking, “NANE A RAPPER J SHINE LIKE This ? IM WAITINNNNN,” the hype is not going to sink anytime soon.

As for the haters, BIG OPP probably isn’t fazed. Grinning with a “Shttt Really Me I AM BIG OPP,” he’s already thinking up the next big daring flex. And if history repeats itself, it will be just as loud, just as flashy, and just as controversial.
