Jenny Slatten’s season of The Last Resort is currently airing. However, the popular 90 Day Fiance star is still getting a lot of questions regarding the timeline of her ALS diagnosis. So, when was she officially diagnosed, and how did that coincide with her time on TLR? Keep reading for what Jenny had to say.
Jenny Slatten Breaks Silence On Diagnosis Timeline
In the last season of 90 Day Fiance: The Other Way, Jenny Slatten and Sumit Singh had a lot of problems. Money was an issue, plus they were attempting to open a new business. At times, especially in Jenny’s confessionals, viewers noticed that Jenny seemed off. She was speaking slower than usual, and it was concerning. Had she fallen ill and not told anyone? Red flags were raised, but anything serious was shot down. Then, ahead of The Last Resort premiere, where Jenny and Sumit were headed to work on their marriage, a revelation was made.

Jenny had ALS, and that was causing all of the problems that viewers were picking up on. However, The Last Resort viewers are wondering whether Jenny knew she had ALS when she came to England for filming. Now, that season was filmed in April 2025, and Jenny claims she was not formally diagnosed until December. So, she went in unsure of what was wrong. She has since released a statement via social media to clear the air. Jenny wanted to make the timeline clear of when the show was filmed and when she learned she was sick.

Since she shared what was happening, her speech has become even slower. Moreover, she needs assistance in some ways but is trying her hardest to be independent. Jenny Slatten and Sumit Singh made an update video to let fans know her status. There is a GoFundMe set up, and the couple is constantly doing Cameos to bring in extra funds. Furthermore, their co-star, Sarper Güven, is also donating all of the proceeds from his New York comedy shows to Jenny.
No Need To Explain
90 Day Fiance fans made it clear that Jenny Slatten did not need to explain anything. Just because a handful of people were questioning her did not mean that she had to answer them. Regardless, Jenny has integrity and will always set the record straight. After seeing the message Jenny put out, her followers immediately sent healing prayers:
- So sorry for your diagnosis! You are a strong woman! We will pray for you!
- Honey, it doesn’t matter !! You don’t need to explain anything ! And if you had been diagnosed there’s no reason you couldn’t film! We love you
- It took a long time for my dad to be diagnosed. There is no blood test or anything. Jenny, you and your family are in our prayers! Much love!
- I’m so very sorry you feel the need to explain. You shouldn’t. People can be viscous on the internet. I’m so sorry. Pay no attention to trolls.
Hopefully, Jenny Slatten realizes how much support she has and that there is no need to ever explain. Do you think Jenny has to explain her diagnosis and the timeline? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
