The Golden Bachelorette fans believe that Pascal Ibgui’s goal is to be the next Golden Bachelor. In the Wednesday, October 30th episode, he self-eliminated after an intense one-on-one date. So, what has viewers thinking this is his ultimate goal? Keep reading for more details.
Fans Think Pascal Ibgui’s Goal Is Next Golden Bachelor
Pascal Ibgui came into the mansion and was honest that he did not do anything for himself. He even paid his housemates to do his laundry. Yet, the French salon owner was very successful at his craft and had a heart of gold. He and the mansion men formed such a strong bond that it did not feel like a competition to him being on The Golden Bachelorette. Rather, he was just along for the ride and to see what could come of it. Then, he made it to the final three after the hometown dates alongside Guy Gansert and Chock Chapple.
They all headed to Tahiti to have personal dates with Joan Vassos which could lead to the fantasy suite. However, Pascal’s date with Joan was very intense, a ceremony that involved letting go of what they were holding on to. Earlier, he had admitted to Jesse Palmer he had been engaged a year or so earlier but they went back and forth until he was done. When it was time for dinner, he self-eliminated.
Joan Vassos had done the same thing in the first season of The Golden Bachelor but to be with her children. Yet, that helped her become the first Golden Bachelorette. So, could that have been Pascal Ibgui’s method to his madness? Or, was there more to the story? In a Facebook group, fans had a lot to say. One person shared this:
- He was truthful. I think he wants to be the next GB. Nothing wrong with that. She did the same.
Many felt that his honesty was a beautiful thing and even if it was not what Joan wanted to hear, it was better now than later. Yet, many think he would make a great Golden Bachelor.

Many of The Golden Bachelorette men have been well received and fans want them to be the next Golden Bachelor. However, a Reddit thread was started in favor of Pascal Ibgui being the lead. Keep in mind, spoilers had been out that he left early:
Jonathan Rone, Charles Ling, Mark Anderson, and more have been thrown around but Pascal does have a special something to him. Again, he was honest with Joan, something many contestants struggle to be because they just want to win.
