Kylie Jenner’s Answer When Daughter Asked About Family Fame

Kylie Jenner is famous for many things: being a television personality, a social media influencer, and even a cosmetics mogul. However, she recently shared that she received an interesting question from her daughter. With her asking just why their family was famous, Kylie herself shared her response in an emotional interview share.

Kylie and her family became known through various reality shows, like E!’s Keeping Up with the Kardashians, which ran from 2007 to 2021. This was later followed by Hulu’s The Kardashians.

However, Kylie is also known for various other ventures. As a businesswoman, she is known for founding and owning Kylie Cosmetics. She is also a prominent social media influencer, being one of the most followed people on Instagram.

However, with each generation, younger fans are introduced to celebrities in all sorts of different ways. Some might not know how a certain star made their claim to fame in the first place.

Kylie herself admitted that she experienced this firsthand when her daughter asked her just why her family was famous. She made this share during the debut episode of Kid Cudi’s Big Bro podcast, when she was asked about her children realizing that they were in the spotlight, too.

Kylie Admitted That She Found Herself Crying From Her Trip Down Memory Lane

According to Kylie, her son Aire hasn’t been asking questions like this. However, her daughter Stormi has, which she attributed to hearing things in school, especially classmates who were fans of her father, Travis Scott. Kylie shared, “I think it’s, like, super maybe normal to them.”

“It’s pretty normal, I think. You know, they see people come up to me and ask me for photos. My son, not so much. My daughter, for sure now. … The other day, she said ‘Why are we famous? Why is our whole family famous? Because that’s crazy.’ I’m like, actually, let me try to answer this for you.”

When coming up with an answer, Kylie shared, “I sat her down. I was like, ‘We started a television show when I was a year older than you and that’s why we’re all in this together, because we were all on the show together.’ She was like, ‘Can I watch it?’ and I’m like, ‘Sure.’ So, we turned on the first episode.”

While noting that some of the content might not be family-friendly, Kylie was surprised with just how “emotional” sharing this with her daughter would make her feel. In particular, it made her miss the times when her family was close together. As she explained, “I was so emotional after. I don’t know what hit me, but I was weeping in my bed. I don’t know why that happened to me. Maybe it’s my daughter being the same age as I was and just seeing my family, feeling so grateful for all that we’ve built but also mourning that closeness when we were all kind of living under the same roof.”
