The Diddy scandal and arrest is one of the biggest pieces of news to drop in a long while. The music mogul is said to have connections with human trafficking, sexual assault, and a myriad of other horrifying crimes. It appears that most folks in the entertainment industry without ties to Diddy are thankful he’s going under. One of those people is The Goonies star, Corey Feldman. After having a wildly successful run in the 1980s, Feldman has continued his career in various television and movie roles. TMZ recently caught up with Feldman to ask about his thoughts on what’s going on with Diddy. Here’s what Feldman had to say.
Corey Feldman’s Thoughts On Diddy Going Down
When Feldman was first asked about Diddy’s arrest, he responded by saying he hopes it leads to other “scumbags” in the Hollywood industry being taken down. He later joked that he never went to a Diddy party, but that was likely because he was too old and not what Diddy wanted at his events. Thankfully for Feldman, he was never forced to experience the horrors that took place at those events.
Tons of people outside of Hollywood think the industry is filled with predators and freaks like Diddy. Feldman somewhat confirmed these thoughts when he said he hoped this arrest would lead to others. It’s sad to think that some of the most iconic people in the world have such problematic skeletons in their closets. That being said, their icon statuses don’t make them immune to paying for their actions. There are still plenty of good people in the entertainment industry who deserve to be celebrated.
Corey Feldman Has Been A Huge Voice In Child Abuse In Hollywood
Few actors can walk the walk like Feldman. When the Harvey Weinstein accusations first came about, Feldman openly talked about how common child abuse in Hollywood is. Feldman even went as far as starting a company to uncover the truth about what happens to kids when they enter the industry at a young age. He’s even talked about lengthening the statute of limitations for child abuse, hoping it will help bring more predators down.
The actor also has openly talked about how he faced these same horrifying situations. Feldman said his first encounter was with someone who worked as an assistant with his father and that the result of the abuse is part of the reason he had a drug addiction. Hopefully, everyone in Hollywood who abuses their power is brought to justice for the trauma they inflict on their victims.
